Pyramid Communications Street Smarts Professional is a premium PC mapping software program designed to be used with the Pyramid Communications family of AVL and Mobile Data Products. Street Smarts Professional allows the dispatcher to: locate each vehicle on demand, or at a timed interval, know the vehicle's street address, speed, direction and status. Street Smarts Professional includes the ability to calculate routes and provide printable driving directions with total trip mileage, estimated travel time and average speed. The system allows the dispatcher to create routes between addresses or saved points. Routes can also be calculated by shortest distance or quickest driving time. Each event or location sent by the mobile units is kept in a annual log database. Report features include vehicle, time, date, status and speed, vehicle or status information. Geo-fencing allows the dispatcher to define geographic boundaries then receive advisories when the vehicle arrives or leaves these areas. In addition, the over the speed limit indicator will notify dispatch when a vehicle exceeds a dispatcher determined speed.
