P25 Two Way Radios

P25 a.k.a. “Project 25” was created by public safety officials in America and has been accepted as a standard for public safety, security, public service, and certain commercial businesses around the world. We carry p25 radios from L3Harris (Harris), EFJohnson (Kenwood Viking), and Tait. Contact us for specific devices or if you’re looking to get a quote.

What’s a Mobile Radio?

Mobile radios are purpose-designed for the dash of a vehicle. Wires run through the vehicle to the outside of the vehicle where it is connected to an antennae. Our technicians pay careful attention to your needs so cords can be neatly hidden inside the body of the vehicle. Call or email us for a quote on mobiles and upfitting today.

Benefits of mobile radios

Better Range

Mobile two way radios have connected external antennas so their range goes much farther than the portable two way radio.

Better Audio

Most digital mobile radios we supply are equipped with noise-canceling software so normal sounds that come from driving around won’t be heard over the radio. Only the human voice is recognized and transmitted.

Louder Audio

The audio is connected to your car’s stereo system so the speakers can go as loud as your car allows. Just be careful not to blow out the speakers of your car!

Pagers

Some call them “beepers”. They’re most commonly used by on-call hospital staff and volunteer public safety professionals like Firefighters and EMS. When it comes to critical communication nothing is like the pager. It’s the most reliable, survivable, and affordable communication device there is. To figure out if pagers are right for your team fill out the form below or contact us today.

Benefits of Pagers

Secure: Messages on pagers are more secure than texting.

Discreet: much easier to hide than a radio or phone.

Easy to use: Takes little to no training to start using pagers.

Long lasting: Both the device and the battery will last very long.

Mature tech: They’re half a century old yet evolved with modern life.

VHF VS UHF

If you’re in a completely flat, open, space where there is not a building, pylon, or tree in sight for 5 miles then choose VHF. If not, choose UHF.

VHF stands for Very High Frequency with a range of 136-174 MHz. VHF is best suited for wide open spaces with no obstructions in the line of sight. This is because VHF radio waves can reach further than UHF but cannot penetrate obstacles like walls.

UHF stands for Ultra High Frequency with a range between 403-470 MHz. UHF penetrates obstacles better than VHF so it is better suited for use in buildings, vehicles, or areas with many facilities. Digital radio is recommended for most businesses.

Smartphone VS
Two Way Radio

Even in a world of smartphones in every pocket, two way radios are still the preferred method of communication by professionals in almost any field. Smartphones are for personal conversations and entertainment. Two way radios are to communicate to more people; faster. These two technologies cannot compete with each other because the two way radio will always beat the cell phone when it comes to productivity. Reach out today to get started on a demo.
